Terms and Conditions of Hire
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and equipment hired from Last Minute Bouncy Castles, operated by AYH Group.
By placing a booking, paying the £50 booking deposit and selecting the agreement box at checkout, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
The person making the booking must be aged 18 or over and will be referred to as the Hirer.
1. General booking information
Last Minute Bouncy Castles supplies inflatables, soft play and party equipment for private parties, celebrations, schools, organisations and events.
Equipment may be hired for suitable indoor or outdoor locations across Hertfordshire, North London and other agreed delivery areas.
All bookings are subject to availability, suitable access, safe setup conditions and acceptance by Last Minute Bouncy Castles.
The Hirer is responsible for providing complete and accurate booking, venue, access, parking and delivery information.
Submitting a booking does not guarantee availability until the required £50 deposit has been successfully paid and the booking has been confirmed.
2. Booking deposit and payment
A £50 deposit is required to secure every booking.
The deposit is treated as a nonrefundable booking fee. It covers administration and the reservation of the selected date, time and equipment.
The remaining balance must be paid in cash upon delivery and before any equipment is set up, unless another payment arrangement has been agreed by us in writing.
Please ensure the correct cash balance is available when we arrive.
If the remaining balance is not paid upon delivery, we may refuse to unload or set up the equipment. The booking will be treated as cancelled by the Hirer and the deposit will not be refunded.
We cannot reserve dates or equipment without receiving the deposit.
3. Booking information
The Hirer must provide accurate information including:
- Full name and contact information
- Billing address
- Delivery or venue address
- Booking date and hire times
- Venue access times
- Party start and finish times
- Parking information and restrictions
- Setup surface and available space
- Indoor ceiling height where applicable
- Access restrictions, steps or narrow entrances
- Any information that could affect safe delivery, setup or collection
The Hirer must notify us as soon as possible if any booking information changes.
We will not be responsible for delays or an inability to provide equipment where incorrect or incomplete information has been supplied.
4. Delivery, access and parking
The Hirer must provide suitable parking for a Transit size van as close as reasonably possible to the setup location.
The Hirer is responsible for any parking charges, permits or access fees connected with the booking.
Any parking restrictions, limited access, stairs, long carrying distances, narrow entrances or other access difficulties must be disclosed when booking.
We aim to arrive with sufficient time to complete the setup. Arrival times may vary due to traffic, previous bookings, venue access or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where access is delayed by the Hirer, venue management or an earlier event, we will not be required to extend the agreed hire period or provide a refund.
If reduced access time prevents the complete booked setup, we may provide a reduced or alternative safe setup where reasonably possible.
The person delivering the equipment will normally also arrange its collection. Equipment must not be handed to or collected by any unauthorised person.
5. Setup area and customer checks
The Hirer is responsible for checking the dimensions of all booked equipment and ensuring that sufficient clear space is available.
For indoor bookings, the Hirer must confirm that the venue has sufficient floor space and ceiling height.
For outdoor bookings, the setup area must be level, accessible, clean and suitable for safe anchoring.
The setup area must be free from sharp objects, animal waste, garden furniture, overhanging branches, washing lines, underground hazards and other obstructions.
We may refuse to install or operate equipment where:
- The available area is too small
- The ceiling height is insufficient
- The surface is unsuitable
- Safe anchoring is not possible
- Access is unsafe or unreasonable
- The area is dirty or contains hazards
- Weather conditions are unsafe
- The setup could damage property or equipment
- We reasonably believe the setup could cause injury
Where equipment cannot be installed because the Hirer provided an unsuitable location, incorrect measurements, incorrect surface information or inadequate access, the deposit will not be refunded and the remaining balance may still be payable.
6. Safety and supervision
A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise the equipment and its users at all times.
The Hirer remains responsible for the children, guests and equipment throughout the hire period.
Last Minute Bouncy Castles does not provide a childminding service.
No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may supervise or operate the equipment.
The Hirer must follow all safety instructions provided during delivery and displayed on the equipment.
The maximum number and permitted height of users must never be exceeded.
Children of significantly different sizes or ages should use the equipment in separate sessions.
Anyone behaving dangerously must be removed from the equipment immediately.
Users must not:
- Wear shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges or sharp objects
- Take food, drinks, sweets or chewing gum onto the equipment
- Use face paint, glitter, confetti, silly string, party poppers or coloured streamers near the equipment
- Take toys, pets or other objects onto the equipment
- Smoke or use a barbecue near the equipment
- Climb, hang or sit on inflatable walls or rain covers
- Bounce on the entrance step
- Push, fight, collide, wrestle or attempt somersaults
- Use the equipment during inflation or deflation
- Interfere with blowers, generators, cables, anchoring or electrical equipment
- Move or reposition equipment without our permission
Safety mats must remain correctly positioned.
The area surrounding the equipment, blowers, cables and anchor points must remain clear.
7. Medical conditions
Anyone who feels unwell must stop using the equipment immediately.
People with heart conditions, neck or back problems, high blood pressure, joint problems, pregnancy, known medical conditions or other conditions that may make inflatable use unsafe should not use the equipment without appropriate medical advice.
The Hirer is responsible for deciding whether individual users can safely use the equipment.
8. Weather and outdoor hire
Outdoor inflatables must not be used where weather conditions make their operation unsafe.
We follow applicable safety guidance and will not operate inflatables where wind conditions exceed safe limits. Inflatable equipment must not be used when wind speeds or gusts exceed 24 miles per hour.
We may cancel, delay, shorten or end a hire where there is:
- Unsafe wind or gusting
- Heavy or persistent rain
- Flooding
- Snow or ice
- Thunder or lightning
- A Met Office weather warning
- Police or official advice not to travel
- Any other condition that could make travel, setup or use unsafe
Our safety decision is final.
The inflatable should generally remain inflated during light rain unless we instruct otherwise. It must not be used during unsafe weather.
If we cancel because of unsuitable weather before delivery, the Hirer may choose either a transfer to an available alternative date or a refund of payments made.
If the Hirer chooses to cancel because of weather, we may offer a transfer to an available alternative date, but the £50 deposit will not be refunded.
Weather cancellations by the Hirer must be communicated by telephone at least one hour before the agreed delivery time. If cancellation occurs after we have departed or less than one hour before delivery, the remaining balance may become payable.
9. Electrical equipment
Only electrical equipment, blowers and extension cables supplied or approved by Last Minute Bouncy Castles may be used.
The supplied RCD must be used where applicable.
Blowers, generators and cables must remain protected and positioned so that they do not create a trip hazard.
No person may interfere with, adjust or repair electrical equipment.
If a blower stops, all users must leave the inflatable immediately. Check that the blower tube remains attached and unobstructed, then contact us for assistance.
10. Soft play and ball pools
Soft play equipment is intended for children aged five and under unless stated otherwise.
A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise the soft play area at all times.
Shoes, glasses, jewellery and badges must be removed. Socks should be worn for hygiene.
Parents or guardians entering the soft play area must also remove their shoes.
Food, drinks, chewing gum, face paint, glitter, confetti, coloured streamers, party poppers, silly string, pets and sharp objects are prohibited.
The equipment must not be overcrowded.
Children must not push, fight or behave in a manner likely to cause injury or distress.
A clear area of at least one metre should be maintained around the equipment.
Ball pool balls must be returned to the supplied bags before collection where requested.
11. Cleaning, damage and loss
The Hirer is responsible for keeping all equipment reasonably clean and protected throughout the hire period.
A cleaning charge starting from £50 may apply where equipment is returned excessively dirty, stained or contaminated.
Additional costs may apply where specialist cleaning is required.
The Hirer is responsible for damage or loss caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised movement, malicious acts or failure to follow these Terms and Conditions.
Repair costs may be assessed by an appropriate inspection or repair body.
Where equipment is damaged beyond economical repair, the Hirer may be responsible for reasonable replacement costs and associated losses, subject to evidence of the damage and applicable law.
Damage, loss, theft or equipment failure must be reported to us immediately.
12. Property and access
The Hirer must ensure that suitable access and clearance are available during delivery and collection.
The Hirer must tell us about underground services, irrigation systems, cables, pipes or other hazards before ground stakes are used.
We will take reasonable care when delivering, installing and collecting equipment.
We are not responsible for damage caused by undisclosed hazards, unsuitable access or the Hirer’s failure to provide accurate information.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Accidents
Any accident or injury involving the hired equipment must be reported immediately by calling 0203 909 4333.
The Hirer must record:
- The injured person’s name and address
- The date, time and location
- Details of what happened
- Details of the supervising adult
- Details of any witnesses
- Photographs or other relevant evidence where appropriate
A written copy of the report must be supplied to us as soon as possible.
The equipment should not be used again after a serious incident unless we confirm that it is safe.
14. Identification
We may request identification before releasing equipment.
Acceptable identification may include a driving licence, passport or another document showing the Hirer’s name and address.
We reserve the right to refuse hire where requested identification is not provided or cannot reasonably be verified.
15. Cancellation by the hirer
All cancellations should be made by telephoning 0203 909 4333 between 9am and 6pm.
The £50 deposit is nonrefundable when the Hirer cancels the booking.
Where possible and at our discretion, we may allow the deposit to be transferred once to another available date.
Any transferred booking remains subject to availability, current prices and these Terms and Conditions.
A transfer is not guaranteed and may not be available for cancellations made after we have departed for delivery.
16. Cancellation by last minute bouncy castles
We rarely cancel confirmed bookings. However, we may cancel because of:
- Unsafe weather
- Vehicle breakdown
- Equipment failure
- Staff illness or shortage
- Unsafe access or setup conditions
- Official travel advice
- Events outside our reasonable control
If we cancel because of vehicle breakdown, equipment failure, staff availability or another operational matter for which the Hirer is not responsible, we will offer an alternative date or refund the payments received for the affected booking.
We are not responsible for additional venue costs, third party costs or indirect losses arising from cancellation, except where the law requires otherwise.
No refund is due where setup is refused because the Hirer provided incorrect information, unsuitable access, insufficient space, an unsuitable surface, inadequate ceiling height, unsafe conditions or failed to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
17. Collection
The Hirer must keep the equipment secure and supervised until it has been collected by Last Minute Bouncy Castles.
Equipment must not be dismantled, moved, handed over or released to another person without our permission.
Only Last Minute Bouncy Castles or a person expressly authorised by us may collect the equipment.
If anyone claiming to collect the equipment cannot be verified, contact us immediately on 0203 909 4333.
18. Liability
The Hirer is responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from misuse, neglect, reckless behaviour, inadequate supervision or failure to follow these Terms and Conditions.
We maintain appropriate public liability insurance. Evidence is available upon reasonable request.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.
20. Acceptance and declaration
By completing the checkout agreement box and paying the booking deposit, the Hirer confirms that:
- They are aged 18 or over
- The information provided is complete and accurate
- They have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions
- They accept responsibility for supervising the equipment
- They will follow all safety instructions
- They accept responsibility for avoidable loss or damage caused while the equipment is in their care
The Hirer may also be asked to sign a delivery and safety declaration when the equipment is installed.
